Members of the IPC automatically receive third party public liability insurance whilst they are taking part in any IPC organised activity up to a limit of €13,000,000.
This protects members against any liability they may incur as a result of damage to third party property, or bodily injury to a third party, arising out of their participation in IPC activities.
It is important to understand that this insurance does not cover any damage to a member’s own property or any property in their care and does not cover bodily injury to a family member. The member also needs to be proved negligent in their actions in order for a claim to be valid. In the event of any incident taking place which could result in a claim you must notify Howden insurance brokers straight away and it is important that you do not admit liability.
Members of the IPC automatically receive personal accident insurance for any equestrian related injury. This provides a lump sum payment in the event of serious injury which results in a permanent disablement such as loss of a limb (including loss of the use of a limb) or loss of sight. There is also additional cover for hospitalisation and medical/dental costs.
